The order to leave China. My grandparents, dad and uncle along with all the other foreigners doing missionary work had to leave. They hiked across Himalaya on mules and horses. My dad was six and rode a horse with one of the Uigur guides. He was very offended once when i suggested he had been transported with my uncle in a box on a mule. Raised among the Uigur he was expected to ride a horse at the age of six.
